Anas bin Malik reported:
Abu Talha ordered Umm Sulaim to prepare a meal specially for Allah’s Apostle (ﷺ). He then sent me to him ﷺ. I came and told him ﷺ “Abu Talha has sent me to you “. He ﷺ asked the people to get up. He went forth to Abu Talha’s house and others followed him. Abu Talha said “O Messenger of Allah! I just prepared food especially for you.” He ﷺ said, “Don’t be afraid. Let’s go.”
Anas said; as he began to move, people followed him. Jabir said ” When the meal was presented to Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ), he placed his hand on it and read ‘Bismillah’, and then said: Admit ten men. He (Abu Talha) admitted them and they got in. Then he said: “Eat in the name of Allah ( Bismillah)”. They all ate with contentment. Then they got up. Then he ﷺ placed his hand on the pot just like before and read ‘Bismillah’. He ﷺ then asked for ten more men (to have the meal) and they ate to their fill, This continued such that he ﷺ fed eighty people. Anas said ” Then Allah’s Apostle (ﷺ) had his meal and so did the members of the household, and there was still some food left.”

أَخْبَرَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ عَدِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ، هُوَ ابْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ أنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ: أَمَرَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ أَنْ تَجْعَلَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ طَعَامًا يَأْكُلُ مِنْهُ قَالَ ثُمَّ بَعَثَنِي أَبُو طَلْحَةَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَأَتَيْتُهُ فَقُلْتُ بَعَثَنِي إِلَيْكَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ فَقَالَ لِلْقَوْمِ قُومُوا فَانْطَلَقَ وَانْطَلَقَ الْقَوْمُ مَعَهُ فَقَالَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّمَا صَنَعْتُ طَعَامًا لِنَفْسِكَ خَاصَّةً فَقَالَ لَا عَلَيْكَ انْطَلِقْ قَالَ فَانْطَلَقَ وَانْطَلَقَ الْقَوْمُ قَالَ فَجِيءَ بِالطَّعَامِ فَوَضَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَدَهُ وَسَمَّى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ ائْذَنْ لِعَشَرَةٍ قَالَ فَأَذِنَ لَهُمْ فَقَالَ كُلُوا بِاسْمِ اللَّهِ فَأَكَلُوا حَتَّى شَبِعُوا ثُمَّ قَامُوا ثُمَّ وَضَعَ يَدَهُ كَمَا صَنَعَ فِي الْمَرَّةِ الْأُولَى وَسَمَّى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ ائْذَنْ لِعَشَرَةٍ فَأَذِنَ لَهُمْ فَقَالَ كُلُوا بِاسْمِ اللَّهِ فَأَكَلُوا حَتَّى شَبِعُوا ثُمَّ قَامُوا حَتَّى فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ بِثَمَانِينَ رَجُلًا قَالَ وَأَكَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَأَهْلُ الْبَيْتِ وَتَرَكُوا سُؤْرًا.
