Chapter on description of the supremacy bestowed upon the Prophet ﷺ over others

‘Ikrimah from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) he said “Verily, Allah gave priority to Prophet Muhammad over other Prophets and the inhabitants of the sky (angels). Then they asked: “O Ibn Abbas, what virtue is given to him over the inhabitants of the heavens?”

Ibn Abbas answered ‘Verily Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala has said to the inhabitants of the sky “Whoever among them should say, I am a God besides Allah, I will punish him in Hell. Thus do We recompense the wrongdoers.”‘ (Surah Al-Ambiya / 21: 29)

and the verse where Allah said to Muhammad “(O Prophet), surely We have granted you a clear victory so that Allah may forgive you your shortcomings, whether earlier or later, and may complete His favours upon you and guide you to the Straight Path” (Surah Al-Fath / 48: 1-2)
