Chapter on the miracle of water gushing from the finger of RasoolAllah ﷺ
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ صَفْوَانَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: دَعَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِلَالًا فَطَلَبَ بِلَالٌ الْمَاءَ ثُمَّ جَاءَ فَقَالَ لَا وَاللَّهِ مَا وَجَدْتُ الْمَاءَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَهَلْ مِنْ شَنٍّ فَأَتَاهُ بِشَنٍّ فَبَسَطَ كَفَّيْهِ فِيهِ فَانْبَعَثَتْ تَحْتَ يَدَيْهِ عَيْنٌ قَالَ فَكَانَ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ يَشْرَبُ وَغَيْرُهُ يَتَوَضَّأُ
Ibn Abbas said, “The Prophet ﷺ called Bilal (to bring the water of Wudu’).” Bilal then searched for water, then came back and said, “No, by Allah, I could not find water anywhere.” Then the Prophet ﷺ said: “Is there any water vessel?” Then Bilal gave him a pot and he spread his both hands palm in it. Then water started flowing beneath the palm of his hand. The narrator said that at that time Ibn Mas’ud and others also drank and performed ablution (from that water).
