أَخْبَرَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا الصَّعْقُ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الْحَسَنَ يَقُولُ لَمَّا أَنْ قَدِمَ النَّبِيُّ، ﷺ الْمَدِينَةَ جَعَلَ يُسْنِدُ ظَهْرَهُ إِلَى خَشَبَةٍ وَيُحَدِّثُ النَّاسَ فَكَثُرُوا حَوْلَهُ فَأَرَادَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَنْ يُسْمِعَهُمْ فَقَالَ ابْنُوا لِي شَيْئًا أَرْتَفِعُ عَلَيْهِ قَالُوا كَيْفَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ قَالَ عَرِيشٌ كَعَرِيشِ مُوسَى فَلَمَّا أَنْ بَنَوْا لَهُ قَالَ الْحَسَنُ حَنَّتْ وَاللَّهِ الْخَشَبَةُ قَالَ الْحَسَنُ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ هَلْ تُبْتَغَى قُلُوبُ قَوْمٍ سَمِعُوا. قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّد: يَعْنِي هَذَا
Hassan Al – Basri narrates:
” When RasoolAllah ﷺ came to Medina he leaned his back on a tree trunk while giving sermon to the people. Gradually when a large crowd gathered around him, and RasoolAllah ﷺ wished that all the people could hear him, He ordered ‘Make something for me so that I can climb upon it’. They said ‘O Prophet of Allah ﷺ, how will it be?’ He ﷺ said: ‘ A pulpit like that of Moses’ When they made it (pulpit) , Hasan says ” By Allah! the tree trunk started crying” (While addressing to his gathering) Hasan رحیم اللہ says ” Subhanallah , can the hearts of those who hear this (the companions) look for any other sign? Abu Muhammad said ‘ Meaning after this (miracle)’
