أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ إِسْمَعِيلَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ: خَرَجْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي سَفَرٍ وَكَانَ لَا يَأْتِي الْبَرَازَ حَتَّى يَتَغَيَّبَ فَلَا يُرَى فَنَزَلْنَا بِفَلَاةٍ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ لَيْسَ فِيهَا شَجَرٌ وَلَا عَلَمٌ فَقَالَ يَا جَابِرُ اجْعَلْ فِي إِدَاوَتِكَ مَاءً ثُمَّ انْطَلِقْ بِنَا قَالَ فَانْطَلَقْنَا حَتَّى لَا نُرَى فَإِذَا هُوَ بِشَجَرَتَيْنِ بَيْنَهُمَا أَرْبَعُ أَذْرُعٍ فَقَالَ يَا جَابِرُ انْطَلِقْ إِلَى هَذِهِ الشَّجَرَةِ فَقُلْ يُقَلْ لَكِ الْحَقِي بِصَاحِبَتِكِ حَتَّى أَجْلِسَ خَلْفَكُمَا فَرَجَعَتْ إِلَيْهَا فَجَلَسَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ خَلْفَهُمَا ثُمَّ رَجَعَتَا إِلَى مَكَانِهِمَا فَرَكِبْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ بَيْنَنَا كَأَنَّمَا عَلَيْنَا الطَّيْرُ تُظِلُّنَا فَعَرَضَتْ لَهُ امْرَأَةٌ مَعَهَا صَبِيٌّ لَهَا فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ ابْنِي هَذَا يَأْخُذُهُ الشَّيْطَانُ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ ثَلَاثَ مِرَارٍ قَالَ فَتَنَاوَلَ الصَّبِيَّ فَجَعَلَهُ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ مُقَدَّمِ الرَّحْلِ ثُمَّ قَالَ اخْسَأْ عَدُوَّ اللَّهِ أَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ اخْسَأْ عَدُوَّ اللَّهِ أَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ ثَلَاثًا ثُمَّ دَفَعَهُ إِلَيْهَا فَلَمَّا قَضَيْنَا سَفَرَنَا مَرَرْنَا بِذَلِكَ الْمَكَانِ فَعَرَضَتْ لَنَا الْمَرْأَةُ مَعَهَا صَبِيُّهَا وَمَعَهَا كَبْشَانِ تَسُوقُهُمَا فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ اقْبَلْ مِنِّي هَدِيَّتِي فَوَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ مَا عَادَ إِلَيْهِ بَعْدُ فَقَالَ خُذُوا مِنْهَا وَاحِدًا وَرُدُّوا عَلَيْهَا الْآخَرَ قَالَ ثُمَّ سِرْنَا وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بَيْنَنَا كَأَنَّمَا عَلَيْنَا الطَّيْرُ تُظِلُّنَا فَإِذَا جَمَلٌ نَادٌّ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ بَيْنَ سِمَاطَيْنِ خَرَّ سَاجِدًا فَحَبَسَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَقَالَ عَلَيَّ النَّاسَ مَنْ صَاحِبُ الْجَمَلِ فَإِذَا فِتْيَةٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ قَالُوا هُوَ لَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ فَمَا شَأْنُهُ قَالُوا اسْتَنَيْنَا عَلَيْهِ مُنْذُ عِشْرِينَ سَنَةً وَكَانَتْ بِهِ شُحَيْمَةٌ فَأَرَدْنَا أَنْ نَنْحَرَهُ فَنَقْسِمَهُ بَيْنَ غِلْمَانِنَا فَانْفَلَتَ مِنَّا قَالَ بِيعُونِيهِ قَالُوا لَا بَلْ هُوَ لَكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ أَمَّا لِي فَأَحْسِنُوا إِلَيْهِ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَهُ أَجَلُهُ قَالَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ عِنْدَ ذَلِكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ نَحْنُ أَحَقُّ بِالسُّجُودِ لَكَ مِنَ الْبَهَائِمِ قَالَ لَا يَنْبَغِي لِشَيْءٍ أَنْ يَسْجُدَ لِشَيْءٍ وَلَوْ كَانَ ذَلِكَ كَانَ النِّسَاءُ لِأَزْوَاجِهِنَّ
Jabir رضي الله عنه narrates: I went out with RasoolAllah ﷺ on a trip. If he ﷺ ever wanted to relieve himself he would go far away until he could not be seen. At one time we were in a large field with no trees or signs of life nor any mountain. Then he ﷺ said: “O Jabir, take water in your pot, and let us continue our journey.” Jabir رضي الله عنه said, we continued on until we were not seen. Suddenly we saw two trees, the distance between them four cubits. He ﷺ said ” O Jabir go to this tree (one tree) and tell him that RasoolAllah is saying you to go join your friend (another tree) so that he can sit behind you both”. Jabir said I did what RasoolAllah ﷺ told me, I saw the tree approach (his friend, the tree next to it), then RasoolAllah ﷺ sat behind them. Then the two trees returned to their respective places. Next we mounted our mounts, and it felt as if above us there was a bird that shaded us. Then a woman and her baby intercepted the Prophet ﷺ . She said ” O the Messenger Of Allah ﷺ my child is always disturbed by devils every day three times. Jabir said “Then RasoolAllah ﷺ took the child and put it in front of his mount then he said “Go, enemies of Allah! I am the Messenger of Allah. RasoolAllah ﷺ said that three times. Then he returned the child to the woman. When we returned from the trip, we passed through the same route, and a woman and her child had intercepted us with two sheeps which she was herding. She said “O Messenger of Allah ﷺ accept this gift from me, I swear by the One who sent you with truth, the devil did not come to him ever again.” RasoolAllah ﷺ said: ” Take one sheep from her and return the other to her”. Jabir said then we left them and RasoolAllah ﷺ accompanied me and it felt as if above us there was a bird that shaded us. Suddenly we saw a camel which had escaped from its owner running towards us, but when he arrived at the two grove of trees, he immediately bowed and prostrated and the Prophet ﷺ caught hold of it. Prophet ﷺ asked the people: “Come here O people, who is the owner of this camel? Some young men from Ansar said ” O the Messenger of Allah ﷺ this camel is ours”. He ﷺ said “What happened to it ?” They answered; We have been carrying our water on him for two decades even when it had lots of fat on it now we want to slaughter it and want to distribute its meat among our children, but he ran away from us. He ﷺ said: “Okay, then sell it to me.” They answered:” Ohh, no need for that, rather the camel is a gift for you. The Prophet ﷺ said ” If you don’t want to sell it, then treat it kindly until death comes to it.” At that time the Muslims said “O Messenger of Allah ﷺ we have more right to prostrate to you than animals” on this RasoolAllah ﷺ said ” It is not appropriate for anyone to prostrate to anyone else. If it were appropriate for anyone to prostrate to anyone else, I would have instructed the wife to prostrate to her husband”.
