Ibn Sireen [may Allāh have mercy on him] heard a man telling another man:
“I did such and such favours for you. I did this, and I did that!”
Ibn Sireen [may Allāh have mercy on him] said to him:
“Be quiet! There is no good in being kind to others if you keep recounting it.”
