أأتَزْعُمُونَ أنِّي مِنْ آخِرِكُمْ وَفاةً؟ ألا وَإنِّي مِنْ أوَّلِكُمْ وَفَاةً وتَتَّبِعُونِي أفْناداً يَقْتُلُ بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضاً
(حم) عن واثلة.)
It is reported that Basil Ibn al-Ask’a said:
“One day the Messenger of Allah came to us and said: “Do you declare that I will be last of you to die? Truly, I will be the first of you, and you will follow me in scattered groups that will kill each other! ”
This hadith was transmitted by Ahmad 4/106.
