471 – It is reported that Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with him, said:
“The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “When Ramadan begins, the gates of mercy are opened, and the gates of Jahannam are closed and the Shaitans are tied with chains. ”
This hadith was narrated by al-Nasai 4/127.
Sheikh al-Albani called the hadith authentic. See Saheeh al-jami ‘as-saghir 471.
