450- It is reported that Abu Hurayrah said:
“The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:“ When a Muslim slave of Allah or a believer performs ablution and washes his face, then all the sins that he committed with his eyes go out from his face with the water or the last drop of water. When he washes his hands, the sins that his hands have committed come out of his hands with the water or the last drop of water . When is he washes his feet, every wrong action his feet have walked to leaves with the water or the last drop of water so that he comes away purified of wrong actions.”
This hadith was narrated by Malik in al-Muwatta’62, al-Shafi’i, Muslim 244, at-Tirmidhi 2.
at-Tirmidhi does not mention foot washing.
Sheikh al-Albani called the hadith authentic. See Saheeh al-jami ‘as-saghir 450, Mishkat al-masabih 285.

إذا توضأ العبد المسلم أو المؤمن فغسل وجهه خرج من وجهه كل خطيئة نظر إليها بعينيه مع الماء أو مع آخر قطر الماء فإذا غسل يديه خرجت من يديه كل خطيئة كان بطشتها يداه مع الماء أو مع آخر قطر الماء فإذا غسل رجليه خرجت كل خطيئة مشتها رجلاه مع الماء أو مع آخر قطر الماء حتى يخرج نقيا من الذنوب
