Saheeh al-Jami ‘as-Saghir Hadith No.449

By almaas Aug 24, 2021

449 – It is reported that ‘Abdullah al-Sanabihi, may Allah be pleased with him, said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“When a believing slave (of Allah) makes Wudu and rinses out his mouth, then sins come out of his mouth. When he washes his nose, sins come out of his nose. When he washes his face, sins leave his face, even if they are under the eyelids of his eyes. When he washes his hands, sins leave his hands even from under his fingernails. And when he rubs his head, sins go out of his head until out of his ears. When he washes his feet, sins come out of his feet even if they are under his toenails, and then his walking to the masjid and his prayer are an extra reward for him.”

This hadith was narrated by Malik 61, Ahmad 4/349, al-Nasai 103, Ibn Majah 282 and al-Hakim 1/220.

Sheikh al-Albani called the hadith authentic. See Saheeh al-jami ‘as-saghir 449.
