«إذا أحب أحدكم صاحبه فليأته في منزله فليخبره أنه يحبه لله» .

It is narrated from the words of Abu Zarr that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“If any of you loves your companion, let him come to his house and tell him that he loves him for the sake of Allah.” This hadith was narrated by Ahmad 5/145 and ad-Diya al-Maqdisi.
Sheikh al-Albani called the hadith authentic. See Saheeh al-jami ‘as-saghir 281.
