أتُحِبُّونَ أيُّها النَّاسُ أنْ تَجْتَهِدُوا في الدُّعَاءِ؟ قولوا: اللَّهمَّ أعِنَّا على شُكْرِكَ وذِكْرِكَ وحُسْنِ عَبَادَتِكَ
(ك حل) عن أبي هريرة.)
It is reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:
“Oh people! Do you like to be diligent in supplication / du’a ? (Then) say: Allahumma a’inna ala shukrika, wa zikrika, wa husni ‘ibadatika!”
Meaning of Dua
O Allah, help us to thank you, remember you, and properly worship you.
This hadeeth was transmitted by Ahmad 2/299, al-Hakim 1/499 and Abu Nu’aym to Hilyatul-auliyya 9/223 according to Abu Huraira.
