Chapter on Trees, Jinns and Animals Testifying their faith on RasoolAllah ﷺ.

Ibn ‘Umar narrates “While I was on a journey accompanying RasoolAllah ﷺ, we met a Bedouin Arab. As he came closer to us RasoolAllah ﷺ said “Which place have you made your mind to go to?” He replied “to my home”. RasoolAllah ﷺ said ” Do you have any inclination towards goodness? ” He said ” What is that (goodness) ?” RasoolAllah ﷺ said: ” It is to testify that there is no God entitled to be worshiped except Allah, He is alone, has no partners and that Muhammad ﷺ is his slave and messenger.” The Bedouin said “Is there anyone who would testify to what you claim? RasoolAllah ﷺ said “This is Salama” (( a tree of the desert )). After this, the Messenger of Allah called this tree, which was on the edge of the valley, and it rushed towards him, plowing the ground and appeared before him.  RasoolAllah ﷺ ordered him to testify three times the veracity of his words, The tree testified “You are as you have spoken of yourself “. Then it returned to where it came from. Then that Bedouin began returning to his people and said before leaving” If they follow me, I will bring all of them to meet you O RasoolAllah ﷺ , if not then I will return to you and stay with you .”

Note: Salama tree is translated as Kaikar in Urdu which is Grey Downy Balsam Tree in English. It is a species of tree that grows in the desert.
