Atiyya said that he heard Rabi’ah Al Jurshyi say; “An angel came to Prophet , it said “Your eyes go to sleep but your ears still listen, and your heart contemplates.” soon after this He said “My eyes went to sleep, my ears started listening and my heart started understanding.” He said “It was said to me (revealed through the angel) that a master or chief of a people build a house, then he made preparation for a meal/banquet, and a person was send to invite people, the one who accepted the invitation got to eat from the banquet, and the chief was delighted with him. The one who rejected the invitation neither got to enter the house nor got to eat from the banquet, and the chief was angry with him.” He then said ” Know that the master here is Allah, the inviter is Muhammad , the house is Islam, and the banquet is Jannah”.
