Shaykh ul-Islām ibn Taymiyyah [may Allāh have mercy on him] said:
“The people of certainty _[yaqeen]_ when they are tested; they remain firm. Unlike others, whom when tested may permit it [the test] to follow the resignation of his faith or [to allow] it to diminish.’’
