Sahih al-Jami ‘as-Sagir Hadith no. 49
أَبَنِيَّ! لَا تَرْمُوا جَمْرَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ
It is reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:
“My boys, do not throw stones at the pillars of the Jamarat until the sun rises.” This hadith was transmitted by Ahmad 1/234, Abu Dawud 1940, al-Tirmizi 893, al-Nasai 5/2708 and Ibn Majah 3025 from the words of Ibn ‘Abbas.
Also in “Mishkat al-masabih” 2613, “Irwa-al-Ghalil” 1076.
