It is reported that Ibn Mas’ud said:
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him, said: “ Whenever two cases are presented to Ibn Sumayye  , he choses the most correct of them.”
This hadith was transmitted by Ahmad 1/389 and al-Hakim 3/388, who said: “A reliable hadith in accordance with the conditions of al-Bukhari and Muslim,” and al-Zahabi agreed with him.
