آيَةُ المُنافِقِ ثَلاَثٌ: إذَا حَدَّثَ كَذَبَ وإذَا وعَدَ أخْلَفَ وإذَا ائْتُمِنَ خانَ
The Messenger of Allah , peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him, said:“ The hypocrites are distinguished by three signs: whenever he speaks he lies, and whenever he makes a promise he does not fulfill it, and if he is entrusted he betrays [1] . ”
This hadith was transmitted by al-Bukhari (33), Muslim (59), al-Tirmizi (2631) and al-Nasai (8/116),
[1] .This also means that the hypocrite does not return the property entrusted to him. Thus, we are talking about all those who act treacherously.
