اتَّقُوا النَّارَ وَلَوْ بِشِقِّ تَمْرَةٍ فَإِنْ لَمْ تَجِدُوا فَبِكَلِمَةٍ طَيِّبَةٍ
(حم ق) عن عدي.)
115 – It is reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:
“Protect yourself from the (hell) Fire, by giving in charity even half a date; and if he does not finds it, then with a kind word! ” .
This hadith was transmitted by Ahmad (4/256), al-Bukhari (6023, 6539, 6540, 6563) and Muslim (1016) from the words’ Adi ibn Khatim, may Allah be pleased with him.
