إذا اطمأن الرجل إلى الرجل ثم قتله بعدما اطمأن إليه نصب له يوم القيامة لواء غدر» .

It is reported that ‘Amr ibn al-Hamik al-Huza’i, may Allah be pleased with him, said: “The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“ If one person reassured another (giving him a guarantee of safety) , and then kills him (after he) relied on him, then on the Day of Resurrection a banner of treachery will be set up for him. ”
This hadith was narrated by al-Hakim in al-Mustadrak 4/393, who called it authentic and was agreed by al-Dhahabi.
Sheikh al-Albani called the hadith authentic. See Saheeh al-jami ‘as-saghir 357. Similar hadith can be found in Ibn Majah 2688
