It is reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“If any of you suffers from worry or distress, let him say:“ Truly Allah is my Rabb I do not ascribe any partners to him] ”/ Allahu Allahu rabbi, la ushriku bihi shai’an /”.
«إذا أصاب أحدكم هم أو لأواء فليقل: الله الله ربي لا أشرك به شيئا» .

This hadith was narrated by at-Tabarani in al-Mu’jam al-Awsat (5/271/5290), Majmu-al-Zawaid 17133 from the words of ‘Aisha , may Allah be pleased with her.

Imam Ibn Hibban (rahimahullah) has recorded the following version in his Sahih:
Sayyidah ‘Aaishah (radiyallahu ‘anha) says, “Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) gathered his household and said, ‘When anyone of you is overcome with sorrow or distress, then he should recite Allahu Allahu Rabbi la ushriku bihi shai’an‘”

Khadeeja
