«إذا انتهى أحدكم إلى المجلس فإن وسع له فليجلس و إلا فلينظر إلى أوسع مكان يراه فليجلس فيه»

399 – It is reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“When any of you comes to a meeting and there is a place for him, let him sit down. Otherwise, let him look for an empty seat and sit there. ”
This hadith was narrated by al-Bag’awi, at-Tabarani in Mu’jam al-Kabir 7197 and al-Bayhakyi in Shu’ab al-Iman 8243 from the words of Sheiba ibn ‘Uthman.
Sheikh al-Albani called the hadith good. See Saheeh al-jami ‘as-saghir 399.
