«إذا أراد الله بعبد خيرا استعمله1, قيل: ما يستعمله؟ قال: يفتح له عملا صالحا بين يدي موته حتى يرضي عليه من حوله» .

It is narrated from the words of ‘Amr ibn al-Hamik’a al-Khuza’i that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“If Allah wishes good for his servant , then he uses him.” ( People) asked, “How does He use him?” He replied, “He inspires him to (do) righteous deeds before he dies, so that those around him become pleased with him.”
This hadith was narrated by Ahmad 5/224, al-Hakim 1/490, who said: “An authentic hadith corresponding to the conditions of al-Bukhari and Muslim.”
