«إذا أتاكم من ترضون خلقه ودينه فزوجوه إن لا تفعلوا تكن فتنة في الأرض وفساد عريض» .
(حسن) … [ت هـ ك] عن أبي هريرة [عد] عن ابن عمر [ت هق] عن أبي حاتم المزني وماله غيره. الإرواء 1868, الصحيحة 1022.
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said:
“If there comes to you one with whose character and religious commitment you are pleased, then marry (your daughter or female relative under your care) to him, for if you do not do that there will be Fitnah in the land and widespread corruption.”
This hadith was narrated by at-Tirmidhi 1084, Ibn Majah 1967, al-Hakim 2/179 from the words of Abu Huraira; Ibn ‘Adi in al-Kamil from the words of Ibn’ Umar; at-Tirmidhi 1085 and al-Bayhakyi 7/82 from the words of Abu Hatim al-Muzani.
Sheikh al-Albani called the hadith good. See Saheeh al-jami ‘as-saghir 270.
Imam Dhahabi did not agree with Hakim in this naration, He said: “Abd al-Hamid, concerning which Abu Dawud said: He was unreliable and I dont know who is Ibn Watheema (one of the narrators).”
Grade: Dai’f (according to Darussalam)
Abdul Hamid bin Suleiman Al-Khuzai one of the narrators is weak according to Ibn Hajar and Ibn Tahir al-Qaysarani in the narration of Abu Huraira. Rather there is Ijma of his weakness from the likes of Abu dawood Darqutni, Al-Razi, and Nasa’i
And in the narration of Abu Hatim al-Muzani, Abdullah bin Muslim Al-Fadaki is weak along with two unknown narrators. However, Shaikh Albani has graded this hadith Hasan. And Allah knows best.
