«إذا أتى الرجل القوم فقالوا له: مرحبا فمرحبا به يوم القيامة يوم يلقى ربه, وإذا أتى الرجل القوم فقالوا له: قحطا فقحطا له يوم القيامة» .
(صحيح) … [طب ك] عن الضحاك بن قيس. الصحيحة 1189)
It is reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“ If a person comes to the people, and they say to him:“ Welcome! ”, Then congratulations to him on the Day of Judgment, the day when he meets his Lord! And if a person comes to the people and they say to him: “May there be no good for you,” then there is no good for him on the Day of Judgment! ”
This hadith was narrated by al-Tabarani in al-Kabir 8136 and al-Hakim 3/603 from the words of ad-Dahhak ibn Qais.
About this hadith al-Haytami said in Majma’u-z-zawayid 10 / 271-272: “It was transmitted by al-Tabarani in al-Kabir and in al-Awsat, his transmitters are trustworthy, whose hadith are quoted in both Saheehs, except for Abu Darir al-Akbar, who is also reliable. “
Sheikh al-Albani called the hadith authentic. See Silsilah as-sahiha 1189, Sahih al-jami ‘as-saghir 266.
