It is reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“Bury the dead in the places where they were killed.” This hadith was narrated by Abu Daud 3165, at-Tirmidhi 1717, al-Nasai 4/79 and Ibn Majah 1516 from the words of Jabir.
Sheikh al-Albani called the hadith authentic. See Saheeh al-jami ‘as-saghir 249.
