«أدوا صاعا من طعام في الفطر» .

It is reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“Give Zakat al-Fitr in the form of one sa’ of food .”
This hadith was narrated by Abu Nu’aym in Khilyat al-Awliya 3/262 and al-Bayhaqi 4/167 from the words of Ibn ‘Abbas.
Sheikh al-Albani called the hadith authentic. See Saheeh al-jami ‘as-saghir 242.
