أخوف ما أخاف على أمتي كل منافق عليم اللسان» .

It is reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“What I fear most for my ummah is every eloquent hypocrite.”
This hadith was narrated by Ibn ‘Adi in al-Kamil from the words of’ Umar. Also in Musnad Ahmad 310
Sheikh al-Albani called the hadith authentic. See Saheeh al-jami ‘as-saghir 239.

Al-Munawi, commenting on the words of “all eloquent hypocrites” said: “That is, a knowledgeable talker, but with an ignorant heart, corrupted creed, seducing people with his talkative language, as a result of which many people who follow him make mistakes.” See Faydul-Qadir 1/221.
