أحل الذهب والحرير لأناث أمتي وحرم على ذكورها» .

It is reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“Women in my community are allowed to wear gold and silk, and men are not allowed.”
This hadith was narrated by Ahmad (4/393) and al-Nasai (8/161) from the words of Abu Musa al-Ash’ari, may Allah be pleased with him.
