“إذا أتى أحدكم خادمه بطعامه قد كفاه علاجه ودخانه,فليجلسه معه فإن لم يجلسه معه فليناوله أكله أو أكلتين”. (صحيح) … [ق د ت هـ] عن أبي هريرة. الصحيحة 1285: حم,
Abu Hurairah reported the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as saying :
“If the servant of any of you prepares food for him, and he brings it to him, while he had suffered its heat and smoke[1]. He should make him sit with him to eat and if you do not ask him to join you, you should at least give him a morsel or two out of it.”
This hadith was narrated by Ahmad 2/277, 283, 409, 430, al-Bukhari 2557, Muslim 1663, Abu Dawud 3846, at-Tirmidhi 1853 and Ibn Majah 3289.
Sheikh al-Albani called the hadith authentic. See Sahih al-jami ‘as-saghir 264, al-Silsilah al-sahiha 1285.
