اتقوا الله فإن أخونكم عندنا من طلب العمل» .
حسن … [طب] عن أبي موسى. فيض القدير
It is reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:
“Fear Allah! Truly, for us the most treacherous of you is the one who demands to appoint him to a position (which he cannot handle). ”
This hadeeth was conveyed by at-Tabarani from the words of Abu Musa al-Ash’ari.
Sheikh al-Albani called the hadith good.
However, later sheikh al-Albani revised this decision and calling the hadith weak demanded that it be transferred to Da’if al-Jami ‘al-sagir. See “al-Silsil ad-da’ifa wal-maudu” 8/132.
