اتقوا الظلم فإن الظلم ظلمات يوم القيامة واتقوا الشح فإن الشح أهلك من كان قبلكم وحملهم على أن سفكوا دماءهم واستحلوا محارمهم» .

According to Jabir, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:
“Fear injustice, for verily, injustice (will turn into thick) gloom on the Day of Resurrection, and fear avarice, for verily, avarice has destroyed those who lived before you, prompting them to shed blood (each other) and allow themselves (to do that, what was) forbidden for them. “
This hadith was transmitted by Ahmad 3/323, al-Bukhari to al-Adabul-mufrad 483 and Muslim 2578.
