أتاني جبريل فقال: بشر أمتك أنه من مات لا يشرك بالله شيئا دخل الجنة قلت: يا جبريل وإن سرق وإن زنى قال: نعم قلت: وإن سرق وإن زنى قال: نعم قلت: وإن سرق وإن زنى قال نعم وإن شرب الخمر

Abu Dharr reported:
Rasoolallah (ﷺ) said , Jibril appeared to me and said “Give glad tidings to your Ummah that he who died without associating ought with Allah would go into Paradise. I said: Gabriel, even if he committed theft and fornication? He said: Yes. I said: Even it he committed theft and fornication? He said: Yes, I again said: Even if he committed theft and fornication? He said: Yes, even if he drank wine.”
This hadith was transmitted by Ahmad 5/159, Muslim (94), al-Tirmizi 2644, al-Nasai in“ Sunan al-Kubra ”10955 and Ibn Hibban 170 according to Abu Zarra.
Sheikh al-Albani called the hadith authentic. See “Sahih al-jami ‘as-sagir” 66, “al-Silsil as-sahiha” 826.
