Shaykh Sālih al-‘Usaymi [may Allāh preserve him] said:

“It is legislated for the fasting person to increase [in abundance] supplicating throughout all of his day, due to the statement of the Messenger of Allāh صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:

ثلاثة دَعْوَتُهُمْ لا تُرَدُّ…

‘The supplication of three [people] is not rejected…’

The Messenger of Allāh صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said: Amongst them ‘…the fasting person until he breaks his fast.’ Reported by at-Tirmidhi and ibn Mājah.

What some people believe, i.e., the supplication is restricted to only a short time just before breaking the fast, this is incorrect. Throughtout the fasting person’s entire day is a time [and opportunity] for supplicating including the time just before breaking the fast.”

Translation: Authentic Quotes

TN: The *whole day* is a time to supplicate, not just the time before breaking his fast, as most people believe.”
