Question: Is it permitted to call the prayer without being in a state of purity?
Shaykh ibn ‘Uthaymeen [may Allāh have mercy on him] answered: “Yes, it is permissible for the one who proclaims the call to prayer to do so without being in a state of ablution because being in a state of ablution is not a condition for the validity and correctness of the call to prayer.”
