Question: If I am reciting the Qur’ān and a person enters and greets me do I reply to his [Islamic] greeting or complete the āyah [I am reciting]?
Answer: “Complete the āyah [first] and then reply to his [Islamic] greeting. It has not been prescribed to greet the one who is reciting the Qur’ān as this will disturb him and interrupt his recitation therefore greet him when he has completed his recitation.”
