Question: As salaam alaikum ya Ustaadh, is it allow to observe jumah where they are observing social distancing during the solat

لا بأس بترك الفرجة بمسافة متر أو أكثر بين المصلين أثناء أداء الصلوات الخمس وصلاة الجمعة، بناء على إرشاد الحكومة ووزارة الصحة، حماية للناس ومنعا من انتشار المرض، صح في الحديث أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: (إذا أمرتكم بشيء فأتوا منه ما استطعتم…)

Walaykumusalam warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu,

There is no harm in ensuring gap of a meter distance or more between rows of congregants in the five obligatory and jumuat prayer as issued by the government and ministry of health, in order to protect the masses and prevent the transmission of the virus. It was reported in an authentic Hadith that the Holy Prophet ( May the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “What I have ordered you to do, do as much of it as you can……”
