Al-Imām ibn al-Qayyim [may Allāh have mercy on him] said:
“The Prayer _[Salah]_ causes one to receive [and increase one’s] sustenance. It safeguards one’s physical health and keeps away harm. It repels sickness and strengthens the heart. It brightens one’s countenance; delightens the soul and eliminates laziness.”
