Medicine for Sins & Corruption

Ibn ul-Qayyim said:

“Sins & corruption necessitate: worry, anxiety, despondency, fear, grief, sadness, & diseases of the heart…& if this is the effect of sins upon the heart, then there is no medicine other than repentance & seeking forgiveness”

‏[دواءُ المعصيةِ والفسَادِ]

قال الإمامُ ابن القيّم:

“المَعاصِي والفسادُ تُوجِبُ:

الهَمَّ،والغمَّ،والضِّيقَ،والخوفَ،والحُزْنَ،وضيقَ الصَّدرِ،وأمراضَ القلبِ…

و إذَا كان هذا تأثِيرَ الذّنوبِ والآثامِ في القُلوبِ؛فَلا دَواءَ لها إلّا التّوبةُ و الاستِغفارُ”
