‘Abdullāh bin Mas’ūd رضي الله عنه said:

Indeed Allāh gives the (affairs of the) World (wealth etc) to those He loves, & those He does not love; but He does not give Ēmān except to those whom He loves, and so if Allāh loves a servant He gives him Ēmān.

Ibn abee shayba 35687

‏[الدنيا تُعطى لمن يحبه الله ومن لايحبه]

عن عبد الله بن مسعود رضي الله عنه قال:

إنَّ الله يعطي الدنيا من يحب ومن لا يحب، ولا يعطي الإيمان إلا من يحب، فإذا أحب الله عبدًا أعطاه الايمان.
