According to the words of Jabir ibn Suleim al-Hajami that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:
‘Fear Allah. Do not belittle any good deed, even pouring water from your bucket into the bucket of someone else who asks you for water or talking to your brother with a cheerful face. Beware of dragging your waist-wrapper (lower garment) – it is part of arrogance and Allah does not like it. If a man blames you for something he knows about you, do not blame him for anything you know of him. Leave him and he will bear the sin for it, and you will receive a reward for it (from Allah) and do not cause anyone to suffer (or revile).‘
