142 – «اجتمعوا على طعامكم واذكروا اسم الله يبارك لكم فيه» .
(حسن) … [حم, د, هـ, حب, ك] عن وحشي بن حرب. الكلم الطيب 185 الصحيحة 895)
It is reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“Eat together and mention the Name of Allah over your food. It will be blessed for you.”[1]
This hadith was narrated by Ahmad (3/501), Abu Daud (3764), Ibn Majah (3286), Ibn Hibban (5224) and al-Hakim (2/103) from the words of Vakhshi Ibn Harb, may Allah be pleased with him.
Hafiz al-Munziri, al-‘Iraqi, Ibn Hajar, al-Suyut confirmed the authenticity of the hadith. See at-Targ’ib (3/164), Tahrij al-Ikhya’ (2/6), al-Futuhat ar-rabbaniyya (5/214), al-Jami ‘as-sagir (168 ).
Sheikh al-Albani called the hadith good. See Sahih al-Jami ‘as-sagyir (142), Sahih at-Targ’ib wa-t-tarhib (2128), Sahih Ibn Majah (2674), al-Kalim at-tayyib (186 ), “Tahrij Mishkatul-masabih” (4181), “al-Silsilya al-sahiha” (664).
