It is narrated from the words of Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“When one of you performs ablution at home and then comes to the mosque, he will be in prayer until he returns (back), and let him not do this, and he interlaced his fingers. ”
This hadith was narrated by al-Hakim 1/324, who said: “An authentic hadith corresponding to the conditions of al-Bukhari and Muslim,” and al-Dhahabi agreed with it. Also in Sahih ibn Khuzaimah 442
Sheikh al-Albani called the hadith authentic. See Sahih al-jami ‘as-saghir 445 and Sahih at-Targheeb 293.
