“إذا باتت المرأة هاجرة فراش زوجها لعنتها الملائكة حتى تصبح”
(حم ق) عن أبي هريرة.
408 – It is narrated from the words of Abu Hurayra, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“When a woman spends the night away from the bed of her husband, the angels curse her until morning.”
This hadith was narrated by Ahmad 2/255, al-Bukhari 5194 and Muslim 1436.
Sheikh al-Albani called the hadith authentic. See Saheeh al-jami ‘as-saghir 408.
Note:The hadith refers to the case when a woman refuses to sleep in her husband’s bed for no reason specified in the Shari’ah, and even if she has periods, since he is allowed to enjoy that which is higher than izar, as stated in a reliable hadith. It is narrated from the words of Haram ibn Hakim that his uncle, ‘Abdullah ibn Sa’d al-Ansari, asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): “How am I allowed my wife when she is menstruating?” He replied: “You are allowed everything that is higher than izar.” This hadith was reported by Abu Dawood 212, and sheikh al-Albani called it authentic.
