“إذا أمن الإمام فأمنوا فإنه من وافق تأمينه تأمين الملائكة غفر له ما تقدم من ذنبه”

It is narrated from the words of Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“When the Imam utters (the word) ‘Amin’, say it too , for verily, the one who utters it at the same time as the angels, his previous sins will be forgiven [1] ”.
This hadith was narrated by Malik 194, Ahmad 2/233, al-Bukhari 780, Muslim 410, Abu Dawud 936, at-Tirmidhi 250, al-Nasai 2 / 143-144, Ibn Majah 852.
Sheikh al-Albani called the hadith authentic. See “Sahih al-jami ‘as-saghir” 395.
