إذا ألقى الله في قلب امرئ خطبة امرأة فلا بأس أن ينظر إليها» .
(صحيح) … [حم هـ ك هق] عن محمد بن مسلمة. الصحيحة 98.
It is reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“When Allah causes a man to propose to a woman, there is nothing wrong with him looking at her.”
This hadith was narrated by Ahmad 3/493, Ibn Majah 1864, al-Hakim 5839 and al-Bayhaqyi 7/85 from the words of Muhammad ibn Maslama.
Sheikh al-Albani called the hadith authentic. See Saheeh al-jami ‘as-saghir 389.

The Scholars differed on the authenticity of this hadith as such Shuaib Al-Arna`oot and Ibn Hajr deemed it weak. On the other hand Imam Ibn Hibban , Al-Busairi, and Al-Albani have strengthened it due to different routes of this hadith.
The problem in this hadith is the hearing of Abu Muawiyah aka Muhammad bin Khazim Al-Amma from Sahl bin Muhammad which is not established according to Ibn Hajr as stated below.

Also not much is known about Suleiman bin Uday one of the narrators.
