«إذا استأذن أحدكم ثلاثا فلم يؤذن له فليرجع» .

It is reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“When one of you asks permission three times and it is not granted to him, he should go away.”
This hadith was narrated by Malik 1731, Ahmad 4/403, al-Bukhari 2062, 6245, Muslim 2153, Abu Daud 5180 from the words of Abu Musa al-Ash’ari and Abu Sa’id; at-Tabarani in Mu’jam al-Kabir and ad-Dyya al-Maqdisi in al-Mukhtar, according to Jundub al-Badjali.
Sheikh al-Albani called the hadith authentic. See Saheeh al-jami ‘as-saghir 318.
