«أدى العبد حق الله وحق مواليه كان له أجران»
(صحيح) … [حم م] عن أبي هريرة. الصحيحة 728)
It is reported from Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, that Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said:
‘When a slave fulfills his obligation to Allah and obligation to his master, he will receive a double reward.‘
This hadith was narrated by Ahmad 2/252 and Muslim 1666.
Sheikh al-Albani called the hadith authentic. See Saheeh al-jami ‘as-saghir 295.
Grade: صحيح
It is the tradition of Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) to separate statements regarding Allah and his creation as individual statements. Look at his choice of words as in this case it is said ‘obligation to Allah and obligation to his master…’ and not obligation to Allah and master…’ because nothing can be at the same level of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala.
