«إذا آتاك الله تعالى مالا لم تسأله ولم تشره إليه نفسك فاقبله فإنما هو رزق ساقه الله إليك» .

It is reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“If Allah Almighty gives you property that you did not ask for and for which your soul did not aspire (with greed), then take it, since this is provison that Allah has sent you.”
This hadith was narrated by al-Bayhakyi 6/184 from the words of ‘Umar.
Sheikh al-Albani called the hadith authentic. See Sahih al-jami ‘as-sagyir 256, al-Silsilah al-sahiha 1187.
