اجتنبوا الكبائر وسددوا وأبشروا» .
حسن … [ابن جرير] عن قتادة مرسلا. الصحيحة 885: حم عن جابر
It reported that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) said:
“Avoid major sins, stick to what is right [1] and rejoice [2] .”
This hadith was narrated by Ahmad (3/394) from the words of Jabir; Ibn Jarir from the words of Qatada, as a mursal hadith.
Sheikh al-Albani called the hadith good. See Sahih al-Jami ‘as-saghir (146), al-Silsilah al-sahiha (885).
Grade: حسن
[1] That is, do not try to do what you cannot do constantly, stick to moderation.
[2] This means that people should rejoice in the reward that Allah promised them.
